A short story about us
Our mission is to empower Black children across the globe through performing arts education that celebrates, preserves, and reclaims the richness of the Black diaspora. We provide both virtual and in-person opportunities for students to discover their voice, embrace their heritage, and express their stories through dance, music, theatre, and visual arts. By fusing creative excellence with cultural truth, we inspire pride, purpose, and a legacy of excellence in every child we reach.

Our Mission
Our Vision
We envision a world where every Black child—no matter where they are—has access to culturally grounded performing arts education that nurtures identity, creativity, and community. Our school will be a global beacon of artistic and historical education, reconnecting the Black diaspora and cultivating a new generation of artists, storytellers, and leaders who uplift our past, shape our present, and redefine our future.

Hi, it's me Elisha
I moved to NYC as a teenager and as a small town girl from Michigan, I instantly fell in love with the hustle and bustle of the city. Fast forward to my university years, I ended up getting locked in at the campus coffee shop (a really long story) and my future husband saved me from spending the night sleeping behind the cashier. His heroism was rewarded with a date (not in the same coffee shop), and we ended up tying the knot a few years later. A year into our marriage, we found ourselves expecting Rebecca.
This blog started as a maternity leave hobby of mine, but has since grown into a diary of our daily lives, with its ups and downs.
